Starlight Princess, 1000 and Super Scatter: what changes?
The original Starlight Princess has individual multipliers up to 500x; the 1000 edition raises that limit to 1,000x. Super Scatter keeps the 500x limit and adds a separate prize for special scatters in the bonus-triggering combination. This comparison explains what the three games share, which figures change and where to try each demo for free.
Three editions at a glance
All three games use a 6-by-5 grid and pay matching symbols anywhere on the screen. Their multiplier limits, maximum wins and special features differ. Compare like-for-like figures: a value on one multiplier symbol is not the overall win cap.
The x figures below are multiples; Max Win is the game’s maximum payout expressed as a multiple of the bet. Each game name opens its own demo page.
| Game | Grid and payouts | Symbol multiplier | Free-spin trigger | Max Win | Main difference |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Starlight Princess | 6 x 5; Pay Anywhere | 2x–500x | 4+ scatters | 5,000x the bet | Original game with a running bonus multiplier |
| Starlight Princess 1000 | 6 x 5; Pay Anywhere | 2x–1,000x | 4+ scatters | 15,000x the bet | Higher symbol multiplier and maximum win |
| Starlight Princess Super Scatter | 6 x 5; Pay Anywhere | 2x–500x | 4+ scatters, including special scatters | 50,000x the bet | Separate Super Scatter prize on a bonus trigger |
Symbol payouts and tumbles explained
In Starlight Princess, matching symbols can sit in different parts of the screen: they do not need to form a fixed payline. The original pays from eight matching symbols. Winning symbols disappear and new ones fill the spaces, continuing the tumble sequence.
The gems do not have to touch. In Starlight Princess, matching gems in opposite corners can contribute to the same payout. To read a result, count the matching symbols across the grid rather than tracing a line or a connected group.
An ordinary symbol contributes to a paying match, a multiplier increases a win, and scatters trigger free spins. A 20x heart does not mean that 20 bets have already been paid: there first needs to be an eligible win to multiply.
What Starlight Princess 1000 changes
Starlight Princess 1000 retains the familiar tumble structure and increases the maximum value of an individual multiplier from 500x to 1,000x. The overall win cap also rises, from 5,000x the bet in the original to 15,000x in the 1000 edition.
At an illustrative $1 bet, those limits correspond to $5,000 and $15,000. This calculation describes the caps, not an ordinary spin result. In a demo, all of these amounts are virtual credits.
If you know the original, the multiplier range is the key change to notice. The number 1000 is not a free-spin count or a fixed payout. A higher win cap also does not establish that smaller winning combinations will appear more often.
Adding multipliers: a worked tumble example
In the base game, eligible multiplier values are added together at the end of a tumble sequence and applied to its win. Suppose the matches pay $4 in virtual credits and the eligible multipliers are 3x and 5x. They make 8x, giving $4 x (3 + 5) = $32.
Multiplying 3 by 5 would produce $60, which is the wrong calculation for this example. Adding the values explains how several smaller multipliers can affect one sequence.
Free spins introduce a running multiplier. The original starts its feature with 15 spins; multiplier values from winning tumbles feed the bonus counter. The figure on an individual symbol can therefore differ from the accumulated figure displayed for the feature.
When Super Scatter pays
In Starlight Princess Super Scatter, ordinary multiplier symbols still reach 500x. The added feature concerns special scatters in a combination that triggers the bonus. You need at least four scatters in total; the extra prize depends on how many of them are Super Scatters.
One special symbol together with three regular scatters awards 100x the bet. A lone Super Scatter without enough total scatters does not meet that prize condition. Count both the total needed for the trigger and the special symbols inside the triggering combination.
The bonus starts with 15 free spins. Its Super Scatter award is calculated from the bet separately from an ordinary tumble win. The final column below uses an illustrative $1 virtual bet; 50,000x is the game’s maximum win. That award already reaches the cap; it does not allow an additional payout above Max Win.
| Super Scatters in the triggering combination | Prize | At a $1 virtual bet |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | 100x the bet | $100 |
| 2 | 500x the bet | $500 |
| 3 | 5,000x the bet | $5,000 |
| 4 | 50,000x the bet — Max Win | $50,000 |
Where Christmas and Pachi fit
Starlight Christmas is a separate winter edition with a 6-by-5 grid and multipliers up to 500x. Its name does not mean it is a festive version of Starlight Princess 1000: it has its own entry in the catalogue.
Starlight Princess Pachi changes the layout to 3 by 3 with 27 ways to win. It includes respins and a different bonus structure. The rules table for the three main tumble editions should not be applied to Pachi.
If you are choosing between the original, 1000 and Super Scatter, these two releases can be your next step. Christmas offers the winter theme; Pachi offers a different game format.
Which demo should you open first?
Choose the feature you want to explore. Starlight Princess introduces pay-anywhere wins and the accumulating multiplier. Starlight Princess 1000 keeps that familiar framework with higher limits. Starlight Princess Super Scatter adds the separate award for special scatter symbols.
Each version has its own demo page on this site. English pages use virtual USD, while Russian pages use virtual RUB. No registration or deposit is needed; the cards below take you straight to the game window.
You can compare the rules and interface immediately. A short session cannot establish which game will pay more often afterwards: a handful of spins does not measure RTP or the probability of a rare bonus.
Questions and answers
How is Starlight Princess 1000 different from the original?
The individual multiplier cap rises from 500x to 1,000x and the maximum win rises from 5,000x to 15,000x the bet. Tumbles and pay-anywhere symbol matches remain the foundation of the game.
Why does Super Scatter have 500x multipliers but a higher maximum win?
These are different parameters. The 500x figure is an ordinary symbol multiplier; the separate Super Scatter prize on a bonus trigger can reach 50,000x the bet, the maximum win for this edition.
How much does one Super Scatter pay?
100x the bet when it is part of a bonus-triggering combination containing at least four scatters in total. One special symbol without that trigger is not enough.
Are the multiplier values added or multiplied together?
Eligible multiplier values are added. For example, 3x and 5x make 8x, which is applied to the relevant tumble win.
Is Starlight Christmas the 1000 edition?
No. It is a separate winter release with a 6-by-5 grid and multipliers up to 500x. It has its own page and demo.
Can I play these demos for free on a phone?
Yes. Open the edition’s page and launch the demo in a mobile browser. It uses virtual credits without registration or a deposit; those credits cannot be withdrawn as real money.
