The locked row changes the playable board
The game starts with positions at the top locked. Consecutive paying cascades reveal more of that row, while new symbols replace winning ones below. In ordinary play the unlocked progress resets for the next paid spin. The fully illustrated 6x6 board is therefore not necessarily fully active at the start.
Two counters survive inside the bonus
Four or more scatters trigger ten free spins. Progress towards opening the top row stays in place between spins, and multiplier values build a running total. A later bonus spin can begin with a larger active area and a developed counter even when its opening screen looks unremarkable.
The multiplier value and the payout are separate
This edition allows multiplier values up to x500. Multiple landed values combine before being applied according to the active round rules. For an illustrative total of x12 applied to a 3-credit symbol result, the payout is 36 credits. The extra board positions create more symbol locations; they are not themselves a fixed payout.
The original counter and opening row
The original develops the row and its bonus multiplier independently. A nearly open upper row does not identify a large counter, and a high counter does not imply every upper position is unlocked. Comparing the two indicators before and after a cascade is more useful than describing the board simply as expanded.
