The board and ordinary combinations

Megaways changes the number of active symbols on the reels and therefore the possible winning ways. The maximum number of ways is not available on every spin.

Read ways separately from the WILD multiplier

The reels change height and form matching combinations across successive reels. WILD values can reach x1000. Several multiplier values on the same spin multiply rather than add: an illustrative x2 and x3 give x6, not x5. The dynamic ways count is another number altogether and should not be included in that multiplication.

Sticky and Random WILD symbols

Three to six scatters begin a choice between bonus modes. Sticky WILD symbols holds multiplier WILD symbols for the feature. Random WILD symbols can place up to six WILD symbols on each spin. Before following a payout, identify whether the displayed WILD symbols were retained or generated for this spin.

Super scatters change the feature level

Super scatters can open two levels of enhanced bonus games. The stronger enhanced feature can combine random and retained WILD behaviour. A mode with retained random WILD symbols should not be interpreted using the ordinary Random WILD symbols reset expectation. The feature name at entry is part of the explanation.

An example of the changed arithmetic

For a hypothetical 2-credit payout with relevant x2 and x3 multipliers, multiplying gives 12 credits. Using the original Dog House-style additive x5 would give a different result. This is why the 1000 title requires its own walkthrough rather than copying the original Megaways description and changing one number.
