Fury of Anubis doubles its multiplier through a cascade chain. The starting multiplier of a bonus spin is a separate value from the peak reached by that chain.
The worked examples explain the payout calculation using virtual credits.
Eight or more identical symbols anywhere on the board pay and cascade. In ordinary play the multiplier starts at x1 for a new spin, then doubles through consecutive cascades up to x1024. A long chain therefore changes later payouts differently from a game that simply adds randomly landed multiplier symbols.
Three to six scatters begin ten free spins with starting multipliers ranging from x8 to x64. That starting value is restored before each new free spin; a peak reached in the previous chain is not a permanently growing bonus counter. This reset explains why the meter can fall between bonus spins without progress being lost incorrectly.
Suppose a free spin starts at x8 and its cascades reach x32. The next spin can still begin at x8. The x32 belonged to the previous chain. If three or more scatters appear during the feature, the remaining free-spin count resets to ten rather than simply adding an assumed fixed number.
Before free spins the game can offer a gamble to raise the starting multiplier, up to x256. Its outcome is separate from the cascade doubling and should not be treated as an inevitable upgrade. Read the active starting value on entering the feature; that is the reference needed to understand later resets.
The original has x500 multiplier symbols and a 5000x game cap. The 1000 edition raises both limits, but keeps the distinction between the current spin sum and the running bonus counter.
Starlight PrincessBoth originals use pay-anywhere symbols and a running bonus multiplier. Starlight Princess changes the characters and symbol presentation, rather than creating Sugar Rush-style cell multipliers.
Matching symbols are counted across the whole layout regardless of position. They do not need to follow a payline or form a connected group.
