ABOUT THE GAME

Gates of Hades stores multipliers above individual reels. The location of a winning cluster matters as much as the multiplier number.

The worked examples explain the payout calculation using virtual credits.

The board and ordinary combinations

Matching symbols must connect horizontally or vertically. Diagonal contact does not join groups; separate groups are calculated separately.

A reel counter is not a universal multiplier

WILD symbols can carry up to x100 in ordinary play. Their values are collected above the reel where they land. Subsequent cascade wins use the sum of relevant reel multipliers. A strong value over a reel that does not take part in the payout should not be treated as a multiplier for every cluster on screen.

Ordinary spins clear the reel counters

The collected reel values are cleared when the cascade sequence ends. A new paid spin begins a new progression. For an illustrative paying combination using counters x2 and x5, the relevant sum is x7. Keep the counters above the actual participating reels in view when following the calculation.

The bonus changes both range and persistence

Three, four, five or six scatters award ten, twelve, fifteen or twenty free spins. Reel multipliers can reach x500 and last for the feature. A trigger with six or more scatters also gives a minimum multiplier of x10. Further scatters can extend the round.

Why this is different from Gates of Olympus

Hades is a 6x6 cluster game with reel-specific progress; Olympus counts matching symbols anywhere and uses a single round counter. Matching branding is a poor guide to the mathematics. Pause after a multiplier WILD lands, then follow which reel counter increased and which later combination actually uses it.
