ABOUT THE GAME

Colored cells change what lands next in Gems Bonanza. An 8 × 8 board combines connected gem groups, tumbling replacements and Gold Fever, which activates the modifiers in sequence.

The worked examples explain the payout calculation using virtual credits.

Which gems form a group

Five or more identical gems must touch horizontally or vertically. A diagonal connection does not count. Winning groups disappear, replacements fall into the gaps and another group can pay in the same round.

Follow the colored cells

Pink cells create wilds; brown cells create 2 × 2 blocks. Red cells can produce a colossal symbol up to 5 × 5, green cells add random wilds, and blue Nuclear cells replace the board.

A modifier is earned when a winning group overlaps its colored cell. It runs after the current tumbles finish, not as soon as the color appears.

How Gold Fever develops

Gold Fever starts when 114 winning symbols explode within one base round, including tumbles and modifiers. Its five stages use ×2, ×4, ×6, ×8 and ×10. Normal progression needs 116, 120, 125 and 132 explosions for the next stages; the purchased ×100 mode instead needs 116, 121, 129 and 138. Missing the next target ends the feature. The base-round meter resets when the winning chain stops.

A group can grow without a new spin

Suppose five connected gems pay and disappear. Replacements can join existing neighbors into a second group. Count that new group separately: the first payout does not automatically turn every later group into the same win.
